NEC is your go-to resource for professional development webinars to elevate your TRIO program. With over 30 years of experience in TRIO, Elizabeth "Lisa" Retamozo and the NEC team of experts will guide your Project staff through a series of live webinar sessions to promote program effectiveness.


When is this Webinar?


This Zoom webinar will take place from 9 AM - 12 PM (Central Time) for four consecutive days Monday through Thursday, August 10–13, 2026. This comprehensive webinar includes 12 hours of material, so we have divided the instruction into four half days to allow for optimal energy and participation from presenters and participants alike. Can't attend one or more sessions? No problem! Each session will be recorded and available to you a few days after the conclusion of the webinar. You will be able to view any missed sessions (or replay attended sessions) at your convenience.

Registration Details


Early Bird registration fee for individuals is $500 ($650 beginning July 16) or for institutions/agencies $1,500 ($1,650 beginning July 16). Institutional/agency registration includes an unlimited number of attendees from one institution.


Registration fee includes the following:

  • Resource materials and recordings of all sessions

  • FREE enrollment in the accompanying online course

  • Access to the NEC Talent Search Professional Development Discussion Group


Available methods of payment include credit and debit cards, PayPal, and offline Manual (invoice and check).


Please note that this is a professional development seminar and an allowable cost. §643.30: What are allowable costs? The cost principles that apply to the Talent Search program are in 2 CFR part 200, subpart E. Allowable costs include the following if they are reasonably related to the objectives of the project...(d) In-service training of project staff.


Lead Presenter


The lead presenter will be Elizabeth "Lisa" Retamozo. She frequently invites other TRIO professionals to contribute additional insight and expertise to the training.

Elizabeth "Lisa" Retamozo

Lisa has 30 years of experience implementing, managing, supervising, and evaluating federal (TRIO) and state-funded educational and career opportunity programs serving low-income and potential first-generation college students.


In 2003, Lisa started her own consulting company, NOSOTROS Education Center. Since then, Lisa and the NEC team have provided TRIO Projects nationwide with short/long-term technical assistance, new project implementation, project evaluation; assistance with annual performance reporting, database customization/training; compliance assessments, in-service training, and professional development seminars; development of policies and procedures manuals, proposal writing, and technical review services.


Lisa received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her Masters in Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University.
