Any costs associated with the development or technical review of grant proposals are considered “unallowable costs” for federal TRiO programs. Funds to pay for any proposal development costs and fees must come from non-project funds such as institutional or agency resources.
Development & Technical Reviews of Proposals
We have extensive experience obtaining new and continuation grants from the Department of Education (McNair, Student Support Services, Talent Search, Educational Opportunity Centers, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math & Science, Veterans Upward Bound, GEAR Up, Title V: Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions, Title III: Strengthening Institutions; High School Equivalency Program - HEP and College Assistance Migrant Program -CAMP); Department of Justice; Department of Labor; and States of California, New York and Texas.
We assist agencies, colleges, universities, and state governments in the development and technical review of federal and state-funded grant proposals with the following services:
Development of all Narrative Sections and Competitive Preference Priorities for Clients
Technical Reviews of Proposal Narratives Developed by Client including Substantive Editing and Proofreading
Additionally, we conduct both onsite proposal writing workshops and online webinars that provide the following instruction and practical skills necessary for developing successful proposals:
Methods to collect and assess the required data to demonstrate a “Need” for funding;
Development of an appropriate Budget and Personnel Structure that adequately corresponds with an effective yet realistic Plan of Operation;
Setting performance Objectives that are ambitious yet attainable; and
Creation of a comprehensive yet relevant Evaluation Plan.
