Jose O. Marquez
Mr. Marquez specializes in securing non-profit funding via state, federal and private sector resources to establish and/or expand low-income housing, first-time home buyers, home mortgage default prevention, new home ownership, and new home construction programs (Department of Housing). He has a demonstrated track record of board development, strategic planning, fundraising, and technical assistance for non-profit organizations/agencies.
Mr. Marquez served as a White House Political Appointee during the President George H. Bush Administration. While in Washington D.C., Mr. Marquez worked for both the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and assisted with the development and implementation of National Drug-Free Schools abd Communities, Public Housing Resident Training and Empowerment, and the Minority Ownership of Business Initiatives.
Since returning to Texas, Mr. Marquez has provided management consulting services and obtained funding for numerous healthcare and education programs. Mr. Marquez graduated with a master’s degree in clinical psychology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
